God’s Hands – Part 1

There is a saying “Those who leave everything in Gods hand will eventually see Gods hand in everything.”

I often compare Christianity to gambling, why? because people walking into a casino are willing to put their faith in a machine, they are willing to put their last bit of cash in order in the hopes of winning, they are willing to sit there for hours in order to win but are not willing to put their trust and faith in God, not willing to hand their lives to him and are often impatient when prayers are not answered.

Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.(Luke 24:39 NKJ)

What does it mean when talk about God’s Hand. The hand of God is a symbol of God’s power, creative aspects, strength, guidance, instruction and discipline.

It is the moving of God’s hand that often seems to be the area we have trouble understanding until later on when we look back and realize that God had his hand on that. Often when we are going through a difficult or confusing time, we are unaware of how God is guiding us. Sometime it can be years later before it finally becomes clear why God brought us through that experience the way he did. Now when we look back, we can see the Hand of God moving, protecting, guiding. Gods plan for you and the person next to you is not the same.

The number 3 is very important number 3 represents fullness, the state of being filled to capacity. There are 3 aspects to the Hand of God:

  1. The Visible Hand of God: What God is doing right now.. It’s what God is doing right now for you. The mere fact that you woke up this morning is Gods hand upon you.
  2. The observable Hand of God: This is what God has done, the past, You can look at what your life would have been life if it were not for God
  3. The invisible Hand of God: This is the Hand of God leading and guiding us in his way.

Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. (Psalms 25:4 NKJ). His ways are higher than our ways.
