BUT THE END OF ALL THINGS IS AT HAND

(1Pe 4:7 NKJ)

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

TO USE SOUND JUDGMENT AND MODERATION, TO BE – DISCIPLINED

(Rom 12:3 NKJ)

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

(Tit 2:6 NKJ)

Likewise exhort the young men to be sober-minded,

TO BE SOBER

SOBER – MINDED, IN ONE’s RIGHT MIND TO BE OF SOUND MIND, RIGHT MIND

(Mar 5:15 NKJ)

Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

(2Co 5:13 NKJ)

For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you.

TO BE SOBER – MINDED, WATCHFUL, CIRCUMSPECT

(1Th 5:6 NKJ)

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

(1Th 5:8 NKJ)

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

 (2Ti 4:5 NKJ)

But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

(1Pe 1:13 NKJ)

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

(1Pe 5:8 NKJ)

Be sober, be vigilant; because1 your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

THE WORD DOES NOT MEAN TO ABSTAIN FROM THE USE OF ALCOHOL BUT RATHER TO REFRAIN FROM THE ABUSE OF IT WHICH LEADS TO INTOXICATION. TO BECOME SOBER, TO RETURN TO ONE’s SENSE FROM DRUNKENNESS, BE COME SOBER

(2Co 3:13 NKJ)

unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.

UNTO THE END OF THE TRANSIENT SHINING OF MOSES’ COUNTENANCE

(Dan 11:13 NKJ)

For the king of the North will return and muster a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come at the end of some years with

(Mat 10:22 NKJ)

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

(Mat 24:6 NKJ)

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all1 these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

THE END OF ALL THINGS OR THIS GENERATION

(Mat 24:13 NKJ)

But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

(1Co 15:24 NKJ)

Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

THE END OF THE WORK OF REDEMPTION WHICH IS THE ENTRANCE INTO HEAVEN, THE LAST OR

TO OFFER PRAYER

(Jam 5:17 NKJ)

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

PRAYER, PRAYER TO GOD,

(Act 12:5 NKJ)

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant1 prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

(Rom 15:30 NKJ)

Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me,
